This is a tale featuring Clytie, also known as Clytia, the water nymph. Over the years through being passed down through history, it seems that the Turnsole was replaced with the sunflower and sometimes even a marigold instead. There are many arguments over this particular myth because it appears that the original was actually about the Turnsole plant.
